While on my walks this weekend, I spotted an unusual Duck that I had never seen before. While I know most of the aquatic fowl that inhabit the parks and lakes in my locality this Duck had me stumped, checked the RSPB website and nothing. So turned to the internet for help. It would seem that this a Fulvous whistling duck, usually found in Tropical & Sub-tropical regions and not normally seen in Europe. Maybe it has escaped from a private collection, & being hardier than some whistling ducks has survived our rather mind winter.
